Third Edition

Through two highly successful editions, The Study ofOrchestration has set the standard for orchestration texts, providing the most comprehensive treatment of both orchestration and instrumentation. In addition to its treatment of scoring for individual instruments, instrumental combinations, and full orchestra, The Study of Orchestration now boasts a new chapter on scoring for band and wind ensemble, expanding the scope of the text and rounding out its coverage. While following the pedagogical approach established by its predecessors, the Third Edition also embraces new technology and responds to the needs of today's students and teachers. With an exciting new set of six enhanced CDs added to the already comprehensive ensamble, The Study of Orchestration is the most complete instructional package available and the ideal reference tool for students, teachers, performers, composers, and arrangers.
