Diversions
This work in four movements is musically demanding and interesting for the pianist, though not as technically challenging as the composer's highly complex 'Eight Studies' (2 vols., ED 7068 and ED 7069). It is an example of the moderate French contemporary style. These four short movements are kept in a comparatively modern idiom and hence should appeal to a wider audience and entertain even the 'non-virtuoso'.
