Edwards-Hovey Method for Cornet or Trumpet, Book 2

The student who has successfully completed Book I of the Edwards-Hovey Method and has practiced diligently on the fundamentals contained therein is adequately equipped to further his musical experience by the study of Book II. An examination of this book will reveal that stress has been placed upon the development of musicianship and proper interpretation rather than an unduly wide extension of the range and technical problems beyond the ability of the average, however, are not overlooked. The theory brhind this aim, stated simply, is as follows: the student, now possessing command of certain fundamentals in the language of music, is ready to learn the use of these fundamentals in an intelligent and musicianly manner. We believe that the material will be found excellent for this purpose.
