Sing Softly, for children's choir (SSA) and wind quintet or piano, Score and parts

Several works by Detlev Glanert have premièred in Halle/Saale, including his children's opera Die drei Rätsel. So it is small wonder that the Internationales Kinderchorfestival Halle (International Children's Choir Festival, Halle) commissioned Glanert to write a work for children's choir for its 2004 festival. The work catches the quiet nocturnal mood of the lyrical nature poem as well as the Summen, murmeln, flüstern, rieseln der Quelle auf den Kieseln und den Bienen um die Linde (humming, murmuring, whispering, trickling of the spring on the pebbles and the bees around the lime tree).
