Book V of the Müller-Rusch String Method series continues with fundamental technical development plus the improvement of bow arm facility for playing in the Fifth Position. Clearly ilustrated Fingering Charts introduce the Fifth Position and show the relationship of the fingerings to the notation on the staff. All positions previously taught are applied with emphasis on the Fifth Positions in a variety of Studies and Etudes in major and minor keys, shifting positions, crossing strings, compound shifting and scale shifting.
