Les Andrews Sisters sont le groupe vocal féminin le plus célèbre des années 40. Elles enregistrent 224 titres chez DECCA de 1937 à 1951, et atteignent le record de 113 succès dans les charts et 19 disques d’or. Elles apportent à la fois un dynamisme, une joie de vivre, un rythme uptempo, une harmonie vocale sophistiquée et jazzy. Leur sourire et leur optimisme ont largement participé à l’espoir qui a prévalu tout au long de la période de guerre et qui leur a valu le surnom « d’America’s Wartime Sweethearts ».

Without any doubt, The Andrews Sisters were the Forties’ most famous female singing-group. They recorded 224 sides on the DECCA label from 1937 to 1951 of which no fewer than 113 reached the American charts and 19 were gold records. They had contributed not only dynamism and joie de vivre to the genre, but also up-tempo rhythms and sophisticated, interwoven vocal harmonies that were jazzy. Their smiles and optimism largely contributed to the hope that prevailed in America throughout the war, and it earned them the nickname of “America’s Wartime Sweethearts”.

DESSINS, DIALOGUES ET SCÉNARIO PHILIPPE CHAUVET
Philippe Chauvet a fait beaucoup de petits dessins pour les livres d’enfants, les livres d’école et aussi dans les journaux pour les dames.
