The Melodious Etudes for Trumpet are based on the vocalises of Marco Bordogni. These vocalises are considered to be some of the most musically appealing in the vocal repertoire. They have been carefully transcribed and arranged to be suitable for use in the study of the trumpet. This edition presents the material in a pedagogical sequence that progresses from the easiest keys and rhythms to the more difficult. It is hoped that these etudes, as transcribed for trumpet, will help to improve the expressive playing of trumpet players everywhere.
